With the creation of the new KFX700 V Force, Kawasaki boldly establishes a new category: the sports ATV with shaft drive and CVT. Those who have yet to ride this impressive new machine can be forgiven for thinking that the terms shaft drive/CVT and “sports” are mutually exclusive. However, one ride on this sporty ATV will convince them that the V Force is indeed the wave of the future.

Part of the KFX700’s remarkable performance comes from the gutsy 697 cm3 V-Twin engine. Kawasaki’s largest displacement ATV engine to date features high-performance valve and ignition timing designed to generate impressive output suitable for sport applications. This power is put to the ground via a durable drive system featuring a CVT tuned for sporty performance. For ease of operation, an easy-to-use handlebar-mounted grip shifter is used, allowing riders to concentrate on riding.

During the preliminary development phase of the KFX700 V Force, Kawasaki’s System Technology Department Centre used sophisticated computer simulation programs to help develop the new suspension systems. To offer smooth riding over rough terrain, a new, lightweight frame with a single-tube lower frame and long, flat-angle A-arm front suspension was designed.

The V Force is the first production sport ATV to use the single-pipe, front tube layout, which is usually only found on serious custom competition machines. The lightweight, racing type front suspension is complemented by an upside down gas-charged shock at the rear. Light, high-performance brakes are fitted, and the 700 rolls on hightraction tyres mounted to lightweight aluminium alloy wheels.

Intimidating is the word which best describes the machine’s styling. The combination of the powerful exhaust note from the mighty V-Twin engine and the fierce design of the fenders and bodywork will have other ATVs scurrying for cover at the approach of the KFX700. Any resemblance to our awesome Ninja supersport bikes is purely intentional.

Never allow Off Road Vehicles to be ridden beyond the rider's level of skill. Remember, skill can be improved by training. Off Road Vehicles are not toys and ATVs and Utility vehicles have very different handling characteristics in comparison to Motorcycles. A collision or rollover can occur quickly, even during routine manoeuvres such as turning and driving on hills and over obstacles, if you fail to take proper precautions.
