Rotary Mower - AR120 Series

The Wessex AR Series agricultural Rotary
Mower 120 is the first choice for paddock topping and maintaining regularly mown grass areas, as the work rates are higher, and the maintenance cost lower than that of a flail machine.

Option 1 - Keep as standard.

Option 2 - Rear wheel - so you can cut up to edge of fence or wall.

Option 3 - Rear wheel with third wheel- so you can cut up to edge of fence or wall but due to the change weight being distributed a third wheel acts as a support when attaching to quad / mule.

Option 4 - Original side wheels with extra third wheel keeping the mower balanced while moving it about unattached to a quad /mule.

This model is also available 1.5m and 1.8m working widths, and with a variety of engine sizes, the AR Series rotaries are robust and durable machines ideally suited to private estates, farms, and studs.

Series Flail Mower AF120

For heavier applications, i.e. brambles, bracken, reeds, heather and long grass etc, a flail mower is recommended as a flail will not only cut the material, but it will also thoroughly pulverize it before discharging it evenly across the full width of the machine.

The Wessex AF Series, in 1.2m and 1.6m working widths are undoubtedly one of the most robust and durable range of self-powered flail mowers on the UK market. Featuring a 5mm steel plate deck, a rear roller, 3 drive belts, a manual engagement clutch and the option of a 13hp Honda, or a 16hp or 18hp Briggs & Stratton v-twin engine mounted on one end of the machine, the AF Series are specially designed to suit the most demanding applications.

There is also a variety of wheel configurations. All models are fitted with side wheels as standard, with the option of 4 wheels as an extra, and the 1.2m version is also available with rear wheels only. Not only does the choice of wheel configurations ensure the ideal machine for any specific application, but more importantly still, it satisfies the requirement of not only the HSE, but also the ATV manufacturers specified ball hitch weight restrictions.
The 3 belts and manual clutch give maximum power transmission in demanding applications, but the optional cetrifugal clutch is available at extra cost if so required.

ATC 120 Sweeper Collector

Although designed primarily for use with ATV's, the Wessex AC120 Sweeper Collector has a 1.2m working width, and can be used behind a 4 x 4, car, or most vehicles with a 50mm ball hitch. It is ideal for collecting grass clippings, autumn leaves and litter etc., from turf or hard surfaces. Drive is transmitted from the engine to the rotor via twin drive belts and a centrifugal clutch, and four banks of hard wearing polypropylene bristles lift the debris into the hopper. The height of brush is altered by means of a turnbuckle on the drawbar.When emptying, the hand operated winch rolls the hopper forward to give a clean discharge on to the ground. ATX 120 Paddock Cleaner

The Wessex AX120 self-powered paddock cleaner is the ideal machine for studs, stables and equestrian centres. Designed primarily for collecting horse droppings from paddocks, the AX120 has a 1.2m working width and features a similar rotor and brush configuration as the AC120, but with heavier duty bristles. A row of adjustable steel spring tines on the front of the machine rake out stubborn manure to assist the main brush with collection.

The front wheel is also available on the AX120 for use when operating behind a vehicle with limited drawbar capacity.

Mini Spreaders

Designed to complement garden tractors and ride-on lawn mowers etc. The Wessex Trailed Mini Spreader is a ground wheel driven spinning disc spreader ideal for spreading fertiliser or grass seed etc on paddocks, lawns or smaller sports turf areas. Drive is transmitted to the disc via an oil filled bevel gearbox, and the flow rate to the disc is altered by a lever and cable assembly which can be reached from the driving seat. The adjustable draw bar is fitted with a small ring hitch.

Wessex Multi-Spreader

The WESSEX Multi-Spread is a 350 litre capacity spinning disc spreader for ATV's. The durable polyethylene hopper - which can be angled forwards or backwards to maintain the weight directly over the wheels, is mounted in a galvanised frame, and the drive is transmitted to the disc via a right angle drive gearbox. The Multi-Spread is fitted with a ball hitch and mudguards as standard, whilst the hopper cove is available as an optional extra.

Wessex Salt Spreaders

Ideal for spreading dried salt on roadways and car parks etc, the Wessex trailed spinning disc spreaders are available in two sizes. The 250 litre capacity S30 has an adjustable drawbar with either a towing eye or ball hitch, and can be towed behind an ATV, truck or industrial fork lift truck etc. It is fitted with a road lighting kit as standard. Drive is transmitted to the disc via on oil filled bevel gearbox which can be disengaged when travelling significant distances whilst not spreading.
The S15 has a capacity of 150 litres and is suited to the likes of a ATV or multi purpose vehicle. The application rate can be varied by altering the amount of material falling on to the disc, whilst the adjustable spread limiter alters the spread width from 6m to 2m for working on paths etc. The spread limiter is also galvanised for maximum resistance to corrosion.

Wessex Surface Grader

Built from sturdy tubular steel, and galvanised for durability, the Wessex surface grader is the ideal tool for maintaining menages, training rings and gallops. The levelling blade car be raised or lowered in and out of work by means of an over-centre lever, and a screw handle adjusts the depth o1 the grading.
